Les 2 Alpes in summer: dive in

Return to the list

Did you know that Les 2 Alpes offers a refreshing cocktail of water-based activities during the summer?!

With the warm weather on its way you may well be longing to get your swim suit on and go for a dip….Well, there’s no need to head for crowded beaches or lakes; the mountains are also the perfect place to sunbathe, swim and enjoy watersports!

Firstly, there’s the swimming pool, the perfect place to go after a morning’s skiing. A few lengths to relax your aching muscles, or a bomb dive or two to keep your friends on their toes! Whatever you decide, take time to cool off and have fun, whatever your age!

If soaking up the rays and having a picnic in a quiet spot by the beach is more your thing, then head for La Buissonnière lake! It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. Admit it, when you look at the photo below you feel as though you’re already there!

Once you’ve recharged your batteries with a quick nap, it’s time to get moving again! In Les 2 Alpes you’ll find adrenalin and fun everywhere, and whilst you probably come to enjoy some summer skiing and mountain biking, why not mix things up a bit and give white water sports a go? You’ll still be gliding, but over the turquoise waters of the Venéon River in the Ecrins National Park instead! Choose from a wealth of different fun and sporting activities, depending on your level, what you feel like doing and who you feel like doing it with… Go for rafting along a route that is accessible to all, or try your hand at hydrospeed (river-based body boarding) for even more thrills. Not forgetting tubing; these fun rubber rings let you experience the water in a whole new way. There really is something to suit everyone!

The only time you can give the water a miss during your holiday is when you go out for a drink in the evening…;)
Everything in moderation of course!
