HAVE A SAFE TRIP!

7 reasons to visit Les 2 Alpes this winter!

Return to the list

Why come to Les 2 Alpes this winter? Lots of people have stopped even asking themselves that question and have adopted the French resort for good, but for anyone yet to be converted, here are 7 good reasons.

1) Live an amazing experience at 3600 meters above sea

You may not know it, but Les 2 Alpes has the largest high-altitude skiing area in Europe, culminating at an altitude of 3,600 metres. Whether there’s good snowfall in winter or not, there’s always skiing in Les 2 Alpes! As proof, you can also ski here in the summer, and professional skiers come from all over the world to do just that! Winter also provides the opportunity to ski non-stop on blue runs from 3,600 metres to 1,300 metres, to the village of Mont de Lans: a record vertical drop of 2,300 metres, and 16 kilometres of runs over the region’s highest summits. That's on this run that will be able this winter to beat the torchlit descent skiing record.

2) Freestyle land, a top snowpark!

Les 2 Alpes’ snowpark is legendary. Going beyond the scope of a simple snowpark, Les 2 Alpes has built Freestyle Land. A whole sector of slopes (mainly in La Toura sector) dedicated to freestyle, arranged by ability level and discipline. There’s the Easy Park for budding riders, ideal for all those who want to try out the snowpark without feeling rushed. Similarly, there’s the Progress Park and the Family Park for a challenge with family or friends! Park Avenue and the Park de l’Envers’ ramps and urban-style modules are aimed at more experienced snowpark users. And right at the top of the range, for pros, there’s the Slopestyle, the Big Air and the Half Pipe (the latter is on the Glacier sector at an altitude of 3,200 metres open in March and April). For little ones, there’s even a snowpark area on Les Limaçons and a Kids Park on Les Crètes at 2,100 metres. Everything you could need to train (and perfect your tricks) all winter long!

3) If you’re looking for sun and winter snow, Les 2 Alpes is the right resort!

If you’re looking for winter sun, Les 2 Alpes is undoubtedly the place where you’ll find the most! Check out the resort’s sunshine levels on the Météo France weather report! In winter, the resort has more sunshine than Marseille or Perpignan (but beware, not the same temperatures!). And with more than 2,500 hours of sunshine, it has as much as Argelès or Narbonne all year round!

4) For mad afternoons at the Panobar!

Do you love partying and never want a night out to end? In Les 2 Alpes, you can start the party on the slopes from 3pm until the runs close. The PanoBar awaits you at an altitude of 2,600 metres, at the top of the Jandri ski lift: let the music take you over, the DJs are pumping up the volume and become the King of Pano !

5) Because that's the family best place

In Les 2 Alpes, children are kings! The resort got Famille Plus label and make sure all the families will have a perfect stay. You will never be short of activities for family here... You will enjoy the secure tobogganing area and entertainment scheduled every day for kids. Don't forget to go to the videozone La Piste aux Etoiles to get the video of your child skiing.

6) In Les 2 Alpes, you don’t need a car!

The resort of Les 2 Alpes is ideal for pedestrians. Once you arrive, you can park your car and not use it again until you leave. Built on a 2-kilometre long plateau (therefore flat), ski lift departure stations are dotted roughly every 200 metres along at the bottom of the slopes. That means there’s always a ski lift nearby! There are also free shuttlebuses running throughout the whole resort.

7) Because there’s more than just skiing in Les 2 Alpes!

Dream of going dog-sledding? Well you can in Les 2 Alpes! Want to glide around on the ice? Come and try out our ice-rink! Need to unwind? Les 2 Alpes has swimming pools and spas for exactly that! Discover all the available activities.
