3 TRAIL RUNNING ROUTES DEPARTING FROM LES 2 ALPES!
1 TRAIL RUNNING ROUTE FROM VENOSC TO LES 2 ALPES!

The trail running resort of the Oisans region, centred around the village of Villard Reculas, offers trail running routes departing from Les 2 Alpes.

10

This route offers a tour of the Les 2 Alpes plateau that can be run for practically the entire length.

By crossing two mountain pastures, you'll discover the scope of the resort and the numerous activities Les 2 Alpes offers. The route is run over easy paths and tracks cut into the hillside.

The 3rd kilometre is a sharp incline that's difficult to run, leading you to the top of Les Perrons. From there, you can enjoy a superb view over the mountainous Vénéon Valley.

A gentle descent through a larch forest will take you past Alpe de Venosc's traditional chalets. On the return journey, you'll climb up to the La Bergerie de Kanata restaurant before returning to the Place des 2 Alpes.

11

This route lets you explore Les 2 Alpes' nearby forested mountainside. After crossing the Alpe de Venosc, you'll gently climb up to the Bergerie de Kanata restaurant. Then it's a sharp left-turn to climb Fioc mountain, running all the way.

The descent to the bottom of the Romanche Valley will take you past one of Oisans' historical marvels, the stunning "porte Romaine de Bons".

The descent ends as you arrive at the magnificently renovated Rivoire hamlet, after which the route over the next 1.100 metre altitude climb on the north side of Pied Moutet is reserved for the strongest participants only.

At the Col du Mais, you'll stop for a moment to get your breath back before embarking on the descent back to the resort of Les 2 Alpes.

Rando trail - n°12 - Bleu - Pied Moutet

12

This route is more of a hiking race aimed at experienced trail runners. The trail will be very challenging for 10K between kilometre 2 and kilometre 12 as you'll be carrying out a 1.200 metre climb on your way up to the Toura's permanently snowy peaks.

The path is more or less a wide stony track for the first part of the climb, but becomes wilder after that point.

For the sake of your ankles, be careful during the descent. Make sure you're not so dazzled by the majestic mountain glacier that you get distracted on the way down!

When you arrive at the village of St Christophe en Oisans, take a little gourmet break in one of the valley's unmissable spots, the traditional Cordée café.

The section between St Christophe en Oisans and Les Perrons is well-suited to running. It's a very attractive path cut into the hillside.

On your way out of Les Perrons, the section will be similar to green route 10: everybody can run it!

PRACTICAL ADVICE

At all times in trail running, it is imperative to respect the work of farmers and other workers and owners who welcome us onto their land:

1. Don't make short-cuts to planned routes that take you through pastures and fields (and also do not have picnics or play football etc...) which are being used to harvest animal fodder,

2. To ensure that cattle don't escape, please close all electric fence gates behind you (and do not cause them any damage)

3. Also, please greet people you meet with a friendly "hello", don't leave any litter behind and do not disturb the cattle.
