Departure from the hamlet of la Danchère. Access by car in 45 minutes threw the Veneon valley (drive down from les 2 Alpes in the direction of Bourg d’Oisans, turn left before Bourg d’Oisans in the direction of Saint Christophe en Oisans/Venosc, then follow La Danchère).
A footpath starting from Venosc village also leads to la Danchère. It starts opposite to the lift arrival (cross the road) and follows the Veneon river in the direction of la Danchère (follow the river down). Access in 30 minutes.
From the parking place of la Danchère, the departure is well indicated to the Lauvitel lake. After having crossed the river, you enter the Ecrins National Parc.
The track is very sloping, and offers stony passages and passages in forest. It goes up during approximatively one hour and a half. Magical panorama at your arrival guaranteed!
And for the most quiet and patient walkers, it might be possible to cross on the way some marmot friend...
