What’s new on Les 2 Alpes MTD area for 2015 - Interview with Guillaume David, Manager of the Bike Park

Return to the list

For those who are not yet familiar with our exceptional mountain bike area, the official name for the resort’s MTB designated slopes and infrastructure is: 2 ALPES BIKE PARK!

This summer you can ride from 20th June to 29th August 2015, unless of course you are one of the 600 lucky riders who have signed up for the MTB OPENING PARTY on Friday 19th June 2015 … If you don’t know what’s going on, have a look here…
It would be a shame to miss out!

Back to the interview with Guillaume:
There is one question on everybody’s lips at the moment: what’s new on the MTB front for summer 2015?
«First of all I would like to thank my team of 8 bike patrols for the amazing job they’ve done… We carried out 2 months of MTB trail redevelopment works last autumn, before the snow fell. It’s always a good idea to do as much preparation as you can in advance, so you’re ready for the opening in June!
We repaired the Ange trail on the Diable sector, adding new routes, escape lanes and new features accessible to beginners who want to take it easy.

And YES, I can tell you that there definitely will be some changes on the trails this summer, with:

- 1/ The creation of the first part of the 666, located on the Diable sector.
This red trail starts out from the top of the Diable chair lift, linking up with the legendary piste de Venosc and boasting 1500 metres of non-stop vertical drop from 2400 metres to 900 metres.
We have also made improvements to the end of this trail, which was already in place.
- 2 / The creation of another red trail: LES SAPINS, which boasts footbridges and other features. It starts from the bottom of the Crêtes, at an altitude of 2100 metres and leads down to the freestyle zone at the foot of the slopes.»

See you soon in the 2 ALPES BIKE PARK: the ultimate playground!
