What’s new for the 2015 – 2016 winter season

Return to the list

We never want you to get bored in Les 2 Alpes, so we’ve cooked up a few surprises for the coming season!

1) A new blue run

This year’s major new development: a blue run going from Les Crêtes down to the resort, meaning anyone who wants to ski from Les 2 Alpes’ glacier to the bottom of the resort solely on blue runs, a total of 1,746 metres of vertical drop over 10 kilometres, now can. The run’s official opening will take place on Wednesday the 13th of January and Les 2 Alpes attempt the torchlit descent skiing world record for the occasion.

2) Fat bike

The winter season can seem long to cycling addicts, so we wanted to combine snow and mountain biking with the Fat bike! Les 2 Alpes’ mountain guides and leaders office is one of the first organisations in France to offer guided sessions in the snow on electronically assisted mountain bikes, so don’t miss out (Full day, ½ day and even night-time sessions)! See further info and bookings, here

3) Pocket Wi-Fi

Les 2 Alpes has the perfect solution for anyone wanting to stay connected on holiday. Pocket Wi-Fi provides a high-speed, unlimited Wi-Fi connection that you can take everywhere and connect up to 10 devices to simultaneously. With a 6-hour battery life, it makes the ideal companion on the ski area and in the resort. Pre-book your Pocket Wi-Fi here

4) Photo, video and challenge zones on the ski area

It’s impossible to get bored on Les 2 Alpes’ ski area! This winter new attractions are popping up everywhere. There’s the “piste aux étoiles”; a new video zone installed at the foot of the slopes, level with the Lutins ski tow, as well as a photo booth on the Panobar terrace so you can become the King of Pano! And finally, we’ve designed some new challenges for you to try on the slopes thanks to our app (Android and Apple). Download your photos, videos and challenge results on the Les 2 Alps app’s Ski+ area or using your Les 2 Alpes Connect account.

5) Freestyle Land has had a makeover

The Easy Park has been moved and expanded to a zone with a gentler incline that’s better suited to beginners. It will extend along the length of the Toura sector and include even more varied modules adapted to freestyle beginners. The Family Cross has also been expanded with new routes, creating an even more fun zone with children’s obstacles and games.

6) Digital shop opposite Le Diable chair lift

First new development: this winter the Place de Vénosc ski pass sales point has moved and is now located opposite the Diable chair lift. Second new development: clients will have access to much more than the traditional ski pass counters; a large “digital shop” equipped with several machines should considerably reduce waiting times when buying a ski pass.
