What’s new in Les 2 Alpes this summer?

Return to the list

Pack your bags and come and join us because Les 2 Alpes is guaranteed to have what you’re looking for this summer!

Obviously, you can ski, cycle, paraglide, hike, play golf, go rafting, get a dose of fresh air, swim or kick up your heels… We could go on, but if you’re familiar with Les 2 Alpes, you already knew all that!
Instead, here are 2 or 3 little things that you may not have heard about yet. Because in Les 2 Alpes, this summer is the season of the new!

Have you heard about Mountain Of Kids? There’s a reason that name might ring a bell: it’s like Mountain Of Hell but for fearless kids aged between 9 and 14 who are already committed mountain bikers! It’s the same game and the same rules: the 1st to arrive at the bottom wins. So… are you up for it? Takes place on the 2nd of July.

Also new for ladies who want to get started with downhill mountain biking is the girls only week between the 18th and the 22nd of July! Equipment, mountain biking passes and instruction are all included for 40€, offering a safe way for women to try their hand at downhill mountain biking without breaking the bank.
And to relieve any aches and pains, we’ve also added yoga, Zumba and stretching. Yes, women are allowed to try out downhill mountain biking and enjoy yoga or Zumba too! The two different activities actually go together really well. The goal of this week is to give women the chance to try out a new sport whilst taking some time out for themselves to unwind.

If you’re more of a skier or snowboarder, no worries, we’ve also got you covered! This summer’s first new event is The Clash Of Camps, a video contest at the snowpark open to everyone from the 27th of June to the 17th of July.

The second brand new event, co-run by Arthur Longo, is barely out of its (recycled) box: the Muzelle Festival. It’s for everyone who loves the mountains, nature and our planet in general, and wants to protect it. On the programme you’ll find snowpark sessions on Saturday morning and resort centre sessions in the afternoon, including a pétanque competition run by the village seniors, a charity sale of Arthur Longo’s used snowboards, then concerts and a huge camp fire in the evening before sleeping out under the stars or in a tent. The next day includes hiking, a picnic and a screening of the film “Demain”, co-produced by Mélanie Laurent. This is a fantastic back-to-nature event where you can rediscover your true self. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Kids Riders Foundation, an organisation that fights for environmental causes.

Finally, from the 18th to the 21st of August, 2,500 road cyclists are expected to come to Les 2 Alpes to take part in the Climbing For Life event. The aim of this cyclo-tourism, against-the-clock event is to raise money for the fight against diabetes.

So, feeling inspired? Will we be seeing you soon?
